Hearing loss can feel confusing, but we are here to answer all of the questions that you might have. Here are some of the things that we are asked most frequently by patients.

What are some of the side effects of hearing loss?

A recent Johns Hopkins University study has identified hearing loss as a contributing factor to dementia and Alzheimer’s. In fact, up to twice as many adults with untreated hearing loss developed some form of dementia. In addition, those patients with dementia showed signs the disease was accelerating with untreated hearing loss. Those who had their hearing loss corrected demonstrated improvement by their dementia being reduced or the acceleration slowing.
